Does faith really work? Is it anything more than the power of positive thinking or a crutch to prop up the suffering? Jesus said, “if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20). Are your mountains moving? There are two things I don’t want: 1) to expect unreasonable things from my faith and end up disappointed, and 2) to resign myself to disappointment, and no longer expect impossible things from my God. The only way to avoid disappointing faith is to know what faith is, and to know where to put it. This book lays out the foundation for a lifetime lived in faith, for hope that does not disappoint. If I want to move mountains, this is where I start.
