Description
During the French Revolution, former aristocrat Charles Darnay falls victim to the violence sweeping the country, while Sydney Carlton, a dissipated British barrister, vies for Darnay's wife, Lucie Manette. Meanwhile, Lucie's father emerges from eighteen years of unjust imprisonment in the Bastille. By an ironic twist of fate, Lucie's marriage to Darnay draws the family into a terrifying web of circumstance where the only solution involves death by the guillotine.
