A fox, having assumed the form of a woman in order to lure a solitary monk from his temple, thus winning a bet with a badger, ends up falling in love with the young man; and when she overhears a group of demons who have been dispatched to kill the monk and steal his inner peace, the fox/woman begins her struggle to save him.
